Bhovi Development Corporation accused of attempted robbery about ₹2.35 crore
An FIR has been lodged at Mahalakshmi Layout Police Station against Bhovi Development Corporation Director Ravikumar for allegedly threatening KAS officials with a fake signature and seeking government grants.
Ravikumar is accused of plundering 2.35 crores of two senior KAS officers of the Bhovi Development Corporation. Thus, Leelavathi, Managing Director of Bhovi Development Corporation and General Manager of the Bhovi Development Corporation under IPC 420 at Mahalakshmi Layout. BK Nagarajappa lodged a complaint. It is learned that Ravikumar is missing as he is being recorded.
There have been a number of applications for Bhovi corporation seeking loans under the government's entrepreneurial scheme. Of these, many applications for duplicate caste letters and an affidavit have been rejected. Of the 60 applications received from various districts including Bangalore City, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Chikkamagaluru, Kalaburagi, Vijayapura, Chikkaballapur and Bellary, the applications have been signed by Managing Director Leelavathi and Chief Manager Nagarajappa.
Last March, ICICI Bank's checks belonging to the corporation were stolen. Bhovi Development Corporation has lodged a complaint with ICICI Bank. According to Ravikumar Jama, director of Raichur district, Rs 52 lakh was used for the stolen check. 52 lakhs have been illegally deposited and 60 crore illegal beneficiaries have signed a sanction of Rs 83 crore.
Ravikumar came to light at a recent progress review meeting of Bhovi Development Corporation officials. Ravi Kumar has been accused by KAS officials of questioning about the irregularities.
